Our 2019 has aromas of pineapple, tangerine, honeydew melon, yellow apple, peach blossom, lime, white flowers, and cantaloupe. The wine has flavors of pear, lemon, lime zest, orange peel, cream soda, toasted nuts, citrus, lemon meringue, and grapefruit. There is a touch of minerality in the palate.

Honeysuckle, star jasmine, pineapple upsidedown cake with secondary notes of lychee and candied dried citrus. Hints of lemon verbena, flowering sage mix, pear, and guava, followed by subtle brine. Round, full, silky, and seamless on the palate with ultrafine tannins and a lengthy finish.

The Holus Bolus Syrah is sourced from a 5 acre Syrah planting at John Sebastiano Vineyard in the eastern edge of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. The block sits at 1200’ elevation and is consistently exposed to the brunt of the Pacific breeze. This sunny but cool site lends a lovely spice and bright acidity to the wine. The wine is made with 25% whole clusters at fermentation and aged for 15 moths in 350 liter barrels.
